Almost There

Today is the second and a half day left of school (the last day is a half-day). At lunch they brought Willy's quesadillas, chicken or cheese, with chips and salsa. There was guacamole, chipotle salsa and tomatillo salsa. I didn't know what to get so I just got chips and salsa, chipotle salsa, and then my English teacher told me that the parents (volunteers, there's no lunch staff because we ate outside) had something else for me.

Last Half-Day

Today is the last half-day of the year and if you remember on half-days we don't have lunch. So last time I went with my mom to Fritti for lunch, but she's on a vacation to the beach (the same beach I went to during The Great Fishing Trip). This time my dad and I went to Hankook which is one of Alton Brown's favorite places to go. It was shown on an episode of The Best Thing I Ever Ate.

Community Garden

I just got back from a new community garden. Genna Schu created it in her back yard and invited friends and neighbors to come plant veggies. She was one of two leaders of the Culinary & Garden Club I was in. We planted Pink Zebra tomatoes and Sun gold tomatoes and munch much more. You all should start and/or join a community garden!

Thursday+Friday

Thursday: The main courses were Pork Loin, Black Bean Cakes, and Rice. The Desserts were cookies and chocolate cake. The soups were Vegetable Garden Soup and Loaded Baked Potato Soup. There was a Chicken Quesadilla stand, like people don't already make there own quesadillas. You couldn't get seconds so people asked me to get them for them. I refused to get chicken quesadillas for them because even though I don't eat meat, I don't want other people getting it too.
